Welcome to New York, Cristiano! The Real Madrid soccer star has reportedly laid down a whopping $18.5 million dollars on a lavish new apartment in New York City complete with over 2,500 sq. feet of prime living space. See inside his swanky new home here!
Cristiano Ronaldo, 30, is moving to the Big Apple! The Portuguese soccer star reportedly threw down $18.5 million on a new three-bedroom condo in New York City’s famous Trump Tower in a deal that was finalized on Aug. 12, according to a new report. Consider us way jealous!
Located inside Trump Tower at 721 Fifth Avenue, the 2,509-square-foot apartment is said to come complete with three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, and a spacious eat-in kitchen among other amenities, according to The New York Post. The lavish interior — the apartment was built in 1983 — is said to feature a faux limestone entryway, extravagant built-ins, recessed lighting, and a mix of hardwood and carpet, making for a truly remarkable space (check those out in the video below). Of course, if you ask us, nothing beats the apartment’s sprawling views of nearby Central Park — that alone is almost worth the eight-digit price tag!
For the more die-hard soccer fans, Cristiano’s move is exciting for an entirely other reason. It’s been widely reported that the Real Madrid star is looking into joining the MLS — that stands for Major League Soccer, for those who don’t know — when his contract expires in 2018. It was speculated that Los Angeles would likely be Cristiano’s destination of choice, but his latest real estate purchase is now raising the question of whether he’ll join either of New York’s MLS teams: New York City FC and the New York Red Bulls.
